I’ve created my on the bench page specifically for customers with equipment here with us, and interested others. I add images of equipment on the bench, in real time, as I work on it. There will be a page dedicated to each year.
I’ll do my best to include as many pieces as I can, so customers curious about the progress of their equipment can follow it in real time. As a general rule, when equipment appears here on the bench, it’s not far from completion.

This is just part of that stock, and there are some gems in there…Why do I keep all these? Just in case someone needs one, either me or a customer.Yes, I even have surplus Fidelity Research stuff, like this FR-1 Mk3!A beautiful Pioneer PL-514X needing a complete resurrection. Wow!Just resurrected this gorgeous Marantz 6025 with various issuesAlso in, this lovely partner to the Adcome preamp below, the Adcom GFA-545 power amplifierJust starting on this Adcom GFP-555 preampThis poor old Denon DP-30L II has had someone rip out and break the tonearm wiring… 🙁Just finishing service of this gorgeous Marantz CD-60 CD player, with Philips swingarm mech and chipset.Just serviced this lovely Sonab 85S, one of my favourite belt drive decks and one that I must write a story about.I’ve just deep cleaned and serviced this lovely Technics SU-7600.This Sansui 551 receiver is in for repair and has been recently ‘serviced’, apparently. There should be 20mA of quiescent current; we have 2mA. We have uncut component leads, lifted and damaged pads, oh and conductive graphite ‘lubricant’ sprayed everywhere, an absolute no-no. She came in non-functional due to a dead bridge rectifier. This is another perfect example of someone who should not have gone anywhere near this thing ‘servicing’ it and almost ruining it. I’ve saved her!Lovely Accuphase E-203 just in for service.Check out this stunning Accuphase DP-90 CD player that has just arrived from Japan for inspection and service, for an eastern states customer. Woefully inadequately packed, I’ll carefully inspect and test this one before doing anything else. UPDATE: She Lives!
