Liquid Audio is an acclaimed independent Australian hi-fi specialist repairer and content creator, cherishing classic audio since 2010. We – or rather I – am known for repairing and writing about classic hi-fi equipment, promoting an informed, technical approach, and creating extensive and original contributions to the hi-fi zeitgeist.

Liquid Audio is the real deal, and we support readers like you and the broader hi-fi community. This website was one of the first of its kind, inspired by legends such as TheVintageKnob. It has quietly become one of the most trusted, with over half a million words, 650 articles and videos, and 5 million combined views of unique content.
I raise awareness about great hi-fi equipment and businesses harming it, and highlight the right approach whilst working on rare and beautiful equipment. I’ve helped many improve their hi-fi knowledge from almost zero to complete systems through my articles and advice.
“That’s great”, you say, and it is, but many assume this is the work of paid employees. Most visitors enjoy the articles, learn something, and leave, not realising that everything is created by me, in my ‘time off’. Many aren’t interested in thanking me or giving anything back, either.
For the record, I’m not paid to create content, there’s no paywall, advertising or kickbacks. Every article takes many hours to create, the website admin is massive, and all of it is an unpaid labour of love, on top of my full-time job maintaining hi-fi equipment. I don’t have a ‘day job’ swapping boards, I don’t steal content or hire others to do my repairs. Several local businesses, so all three!
