Join me for my longest video yet, as I repair and upgrade a broken Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista 21 Tube DAC.
Follow along as I describe finding and repairing the faults, upgrading and then testing this wonderful Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista 21 Tube DAC. In the end, I was able to achieve just 0.001% THD + noise from this baby, a superb result!… Read more
Hi friends, you’re going to want to see this one. In this video, I run through my recent service, repair and overhaul of one of the biggest, meanest monster receivers ever – the Sansui G-9000DB Pure Power DC Stereo Receiver!
Yes, this thing is officially silly, 170 watts per channel of oval capacitor silliness! In this video, I basically run through the whole process from first unveiling the beast, to final testing.… Read more

First part of the video shows me opening the Marantz 2330 up for the first time and discovering the terrible state she was in. Second part shows after the overhaul I’ve just finished.
A full article on the Marantz 2330 will drop in the next few days, but can you believe people started offering to buy this baby as soon as I posted the video!… Read more

In this video, I explain some considerations when correctly setting up a turntable like the Kenwood KD-600.

More photos and details of the Marantz PM-8 restoration soon. You can find my article about the exploded filter capacitors, here!
In the meantime, here’s a video summary of the testing and setup of bias, DC offset and power supply voltage.… Read more
