I try to provide a balance of general, historical and technical information in the articles I write.
It’s always a fine line though. Most people want broad brush strokes including some history and ‘how does it sound?’ type stuff. Competitors however just love it when I write about all the little technical details and proprietary stuff I’ve developed, and I’m sure you can figure out why.
For these reasons, I have to monitor that balance point and give a little bit of everything, but not too much of anything. Keep in mind that most professional repairers don’t even write articles and I provide a ton of detail that you likely can’t find anywhere else, in the entire world!
Given that the sort of technical work I do should be undertaken by a specialist, too much detail is of no benefit to most readers.
