I’ll update this page with images of equipment, in real time, as I work on it. I won’t be able to include every piece, but customers curious about the progress of their job can be assured that, once their equipment appears on the bench, it’s hopefully not far from completion 🙂
My previously popular workshop page has now become the workshop archive, as I was rarely updating it and stopped completely in 2023. This page is different because I have a new method for keeping it updated, and updates have occurred almost daily since June!

There should be 20mA of quiescent current; we have 2mA. We have uncut component leads, lifted and damaged pads, oh and conductive graphite ‘lubricant’ sprayed everywhere, an absolute no-no. She came in non-functional due to a dead bridge rectifier. This is another perfect example of someone who should not have gone anywhere near this thing ‘servicing’ it and almost ruining it. I’ve saved her!Lovely Accuphase E-203 just in for service.Check out this stunning Accuphase DP-90 CD player that has just arrived from Japan for inspection and service, for an eastern states customer. Woefully inadequately packed, I’ll carefully inspect and test this one before doing anything else. UPDATE: She Lives! If I’m being brutally honest, this is beyond what many can tackle. I’ve repaired this absolutely dead player, with very careful attention to detail including lubrication and fine adjustment as you see here.Beautiful Harman/Kardon PM655 donated by Aaron, and also in need of the type of technical care it’s never received. I have now rectified that, and she is running perfectly and available for purchase in the store!Gorgeous Harman/Kardon TD292, just repaired, serviced and available for sale!Just repaired, serviced and available for sale!Many thanks to Aaron Powell for his generous donation of these seven pieces, including a lovely Harman Kardon PM655 and TD292!
